An interesting site - I was wondering how to protect new concrete from freezing - all the shops are shut, I don't have any covers, and it is going to freeze here tonight.Maybe I should go to the all night supermarket and buy lots of candles and hope the wind doesn't get up!!!

I have been searching for advice on how to repair minor damage to my tarmac driveway with very little success. I must say how valuable I have found your site, even to the point of recommending products that you have successfully used.
Great site, it is much appreciated.

excellent site with a good mixture of technical and practical information. Was delighted to realise I have been doing it right for years. One more thing: NEVER USE TRAVESTY PERKINS

I have been designing gardens for 18 years and also teach garden design. An invaluable resource site for students (and indeed worth viewing by some contractors)

To the two Tony's,
You've done a brilliant job with this website.
Mine is mainly about emigrating to New Zealand and computers, but I add links to particularly good sites I find. You've got a special 'well done' on mine.
I'm just about to gravel our drive, and you've helped me a lot.
Thank you very much. Keep up the good work.
Steve

What a brilliant site. You can tell that it is a work of love. Such clear explanations, such good diagrams.
It is obviously a disaster for Lancashire that two pavers like these are no longer plying their trade.
Really sorry about the accident. Brilliant site.

Why can't other sites offering information be as good as this? This must be the most informative diy site I have come across- I wish I had discovered it sooner!

This is the most comprehensively helpful site I've ever found, and funny too! It's the only site I ever read all the text.
Whenever we have a technical problem we seem to find the answer here and between our expertise and yours we find a way to build better gardens. Thanks a million and keep it coming.

What a fantastic site!
As a 'professional' DIY'er this is just what I need.
Currently laying a gravel drive, which at the moment is part concrete, part tarmac. Your advice has saved me a lot of heart ache & expense. Many many thanks, the best free advice site on the planet.
