I shall never look at a "cobbled" street again without a knowing look. I am actually writing an assignment on quarrying history and needed the dimensions of a sett (in inches!) which led me to your site. I've read nearly everything. I'm mesermized.

What a fantastic site. I frequently consult it for technical guidance. I'm currently laying a flagstone floor and finding the info you provide invaluable. Thanks.

Undertook a very simple relaying of existing drive, but being the complete novice, this site really helped. I'm hooked now and will be a regular visitor even now the project has finished. Thank you.

Brilliant and very funny too. Makes interesting reading as it tells you how it is! When looking for a solution instead of providing info on a 'magic' product which solves all your problems it basically tells you what to do which is mainly common sense, a thing we forget sometimes with all these products out there that promise this and that. Thank you.

Excellent site refer to it as a DIYer seeking expertees. Specified Blanc de Bierge paving for a some steps a few years ago and now find the firm seems to have disappeared. I need some matching paving for an additional step. Any ideas?
Wow this site is packed with excellent content for users. Even though it's run from a small budget you have created a excellent source of information. Will definitely be back

I am in the process of laying a 120 sq ft patio with 600mm flags and was recommended your site by a landscaping colleague - due to my age (retired) I am doing one day on and one day off and have spent rest days referring to your site. It has proved invaluable and has, I am sure, helped me avoid many pitfalls. Many thanks and hope your back is OK.

I have a slate 'crazy paving' project I am doing at home, and this site is one of the best, most comprehensive sites I have ever seen on any topic in more than 25 years of working on the internet. I simply wanted to say thank you for a wonderful wealth of information logically organized, with just the right amount of photos, and excellent comments! Many thanks from the USA! :-)

Hi, What a great site the explanation and pictures on how to install an inspection chamber are first class. The building control inspector passed my job as he thought it was installed by a groundworker. Best drainage site on the net - well done and THANKYOU
