Tony, this site is a wonderful resource. I have worked in e-learning at a large University for a number of years - and I'm very impressed by the standard of your site. I was also very touched to read your history page. Thank you so very much for this jewel of a site!

Thank you for a wonderful resource, great site, humourous and full of useful information. An example to the rest of us. It has helped me tremendously with what I thought to be a daunting paving job at my home and turned the whole thing into an enjoyable experience. God Bless!

Found this site just in time for my spring project, looks like all my queries that the "suppliers" websites don't always answer, should be settled here. I'll place a message when the job is done. Cheers Doug

Who ever thought that it would be so entertaining to find out how to maintain paving? Thanks for such open, clear - and amusing! - advice. My paving is in for a treat now that I know what to do to clean it. Thanks!

Came across the site when looking to have our back yard (sorry - "walled courtyard" in local estate agent speak) flagged. Loads of useful info and eavesdropping in the brew cabin. I'll be back.

An A-Z Encyclopedia of everything you need to know about constructing a new drive and much much more. I have never seen a construction related website so ordered and easy to use with so much infomation.A benchmark far beyond the reach of most..Nick Horton.
Tony, I've probably been browsing your site since it began and I have found it a great source of reliable information for many DIY projects I've undretaken in the past. I recommended your site to people all the time and seem to be amazed at how the site has grown over the years into what appears to be solely for the love of it. I do hope you are making some money from this fantastic site, it's one of the best on the web. Just read through the 'about us' page for the first time and was delighted to find that the book i bought recently was by you. I still get more time to surf than read though as the kids think that all paper is to draw and scribble on. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for a great site and long may it continue. I'm off to read my book now.

What a wonderful site, full of "do's & dont's" and so much more invaluable information. Dispell's a few old wife's tales, Thanks for all your efforts, it's a work of art, written with clarity and humour. Never thought that patio laying could be so interesting. Now to put all that reading and advice to use. Once again many thanks.

I built one of your 'domestic' soakaways and it's brilliant :-) I also then used your advice for relaying a granite crazy paving patio which has turned out equally brilliant ..! Thanks and well done ...I tell everyone about your site now, .. I know, .. I should get out more ..:-))
What a great site! I have found it invaluable in helping me prepare and complete my DIY jobs at home. Thank you!!

Just to say thanks for a great website that I find invaluable to my job performance as a buyer for a 1st time reinstatement company. As my info on the actual processes is more limited than the real workers doing the job I get all the info I need here. More importantly to the right level of detail without blinding me with science or going into the unecessary, and all under one roof so to speak Thanks

This is the comprehensive and informative website I have come across. The attention to detail is excellent, but simple enough for the 'layman' to understand. I have recommended the site to many of my friends and colleagues. Well Done. Roger
