Thanks, you may just have saved my life!! I have a practical test in setting out sight rails tomorrow and your site has great info on it! Keep up the good work (must show hubby the stuff on patio paving - it's given me a few ideas to keep him busy over the summer!)

Yipee! A site worth adding to my "favorites" list. Althought the information provided has made me think twice about builing a 2m high retaining wall myself. Any tradesmen out there want to do it?

After absorbing the plain English information from your wed site and transposing them to my major projects, I have had comments as to "have you done this before", "It looks great" and most all self satisfaction and a huge saving on labour. Thanks to you all. I will not be afraid to take on another project.

Thanks for the depth of information, this has helped me, also helped to advise my clients of what good practice and the right material can achieve.
Thank you for a beautifully designed, instructive site. I needed expert, disinterested advice on a knotty patio-sealing problem. Your site answered every one of my queries, and prevented some serious mistakes.

The information is extremely well compiled and user friendly and even makes the subject interesting to a non civil engineering orientated engineer. Congratulations.

What a brilliantly practical, useful guide - that even an amateur like me can understand. I found the site through Google, looking for advice on the best way to cut paving slabs. I also found the information on how to use coloured mortar valuable as it's something I'm planning to do but have no prior experience!! Thanks for your community spirit!!

Having almost completed the 'Hard Landscaping' of the rear of a new build property, I have found your Website completely invaluable. With your help I have managed to overcome some troublesome drainage problems (slope towards the property over solid clay). The laying of a new patio and associated pathways has been an enjoyable experience knowing that I have had an expert to consult whenever necessary ! Congratulations on the most comprehensive reference guide I have ever used and many thanks for allowing a tight walleted Yorkshire man save some brass by doing this work himself !! ;)

Wow! What a wonderful site - this is going to worry all the builders who previously thought they could baffle me.... Thank you.
Outstanding web site. clear concise information and advise. This is a great achievement and your passion for the trade is evident. Although you are no longer involved hands on in the industry, you are doing it a great service. "The persuit of excellence"
