Great site - just planning a change to accommodate a garden shed and new patio area. This certainly stopped the husband/wife disagreements on how things should be done! So easy to follow and understand everything.

This site can only be described as totally first rate and a bench mark for all other similar sites!!! Well done and thank you very much for sharing free of chasrge your skills, knowledge and trade secrets.
What a godsend your website is for anyone contemplating patio construction or other major landscaping! I'm about to start such a project and would definitely have wasted a lot of time, effort and money doing things wrongly if I hadn't found your site. I'll send you some photos when I get my patio finished (current estimate 2056!). Keep up the good work, and my heartfelt thanks.

Great site. Next time I watch certain garden programmes I'll watch out for the suspect method of laying I thought was normal!

A brilliant idea and very well organised. I am laying a gravel path in the garden, on a clay soil, and I would have really been floundering - and making some serious mistakes - without the help I found here. Thanks a lot.
Quite often we think we know all there is to know about a subject. How arrogant! Time and time again we come back to this website to consult on everything from mortar mixes to sub-base thicknesses. Many thanks for such a comprehensive resource and to the people who must sweat blood compiling it.
