This is truly one of the best web sites that I have come across. It is informative and straight forward to follow. No complicated jargon. Congratulations.

I have found your site while I was looking for information on the internet to use within my teaching role. I am working as Brickwork lecturer at Skelmersdale College and have found some of the information usefull and written in such a way that students attending the college on construction courses will be able to understand. I would just like to say that I think the web site is excellent and keep up the good work Tony.

Excellent site, excellent advice and some ideas. Isn't it pleasant be able to browse an informing site without those annoying po-ups and adverts!

Thanks, a fantastic site. The advice here rescued me from my know-nothing cack handedness and allowed me to lay a large sandstone patio. I was even confident enough to resist my dad who "knows about these things" and was all for the 5 dabs of mortar method. I ignored my scepticism and used dark brown pointing mix, and guess what?, it works. Thanks Tony, saved me a fortune.

The info I have read is very good just that the print out (check print preview) cuts off the very right hand side of the page. Consequently, info is lost and the actual text is left to your imagination. Could I request that this problem (I hope it's not just my machine) is rectified so that I may able to take full advantage of this quality info.
Thanks in advance
Geoff

What a marvellous site! You are very generous with your knowledge, but geetting the hands to do what the brain reads is often one of these "lost in translation" things for me. How I wish I had read the article about cement burns before subjecting my office-worker's hands to exfoliation treatment whilst grouting ceramic tiles this weekend. I had wrongly assumed that ceramic wall tile grout would be a far mor benign substance than anything used by proper outdoor builders! My fingers look worse than Tony's and the throbbing actually woke me up. A horrible pain worth avoiding and disturbing to see anything apparently coloured green below the skin. I thought I was through to the bone!

You could not made a more infomative site, simple and covers nearly everything that I needed to know except maybe what we would expect to pay since until know I Knew nothing about paths and roads I have your expert knolwedge but no idea of cost. I would ahve rung you but the ethos was not write. I am attempting to build a roadway 3 metres bby 50 metres with a carpark for two cars around 10 x 8 and will have to dig out clay to the required deepth for sub base etc, it will have to have an edge on both side. I am not asking you for a price justa hunch or fag packet guide so i can get costs aan at least know what the avergae is. Or maybe tell me how long it would take I can work the maths myself.
Sorry to hear of your accident and hope you fighting back

The article on cellular systems was excellent. I have contacted some of the companies mentioned for quotes. This will look far better than the planned concrete drive I was planning. Many thanks. Rich.

What a fantastic mine of information! Your site has more or less confirmed what my gut feel was about our various projects, some of which we regrettably paid somebody for. Yet all this knowledge is here! Ever thought of information like this being "shareware"? I'd contribute some cash for info. like this.

As a company we've only started doing driveways at the turn of this year. I've found this site useful when answering customers queries. Plus i've just ordered Tony's book.(more money in his piggy bank!) This site to me is worth it's wait in gold!
