Dear sirs
As a retired Jack of all trades,I have just decided to Block pave three areas in my garden,a turnround area for cars,A patio area. And a patio area at the front of the house. The total is aprox 135 sq mrs.
Your pages have proved invaluable towards the construction, design, etc etc.
It is very gratifying that a company such as yourselves imparts their knowledge(very hard earned I suspect)to the general public.
Thank you for all your help and Information
Regards Tony

A right rivetting read. your working life is an almost direct parallel to that of mine.. left school worked with dad ,added to company name to be 'and son'. Spent far too much time trying to convince people and contractors that groundworks is a proper trade!Just have a look at the mess made when the brickies are let loose on a few slabs. I now use your site for my private customers to refer to prior to starting any job....I now do most of my work on a labour only basis for contractors throughout the area, it sems harder to compete with the cowboys with a pick up, no insurance,no VAT. no morals. Let them have a go with a clerk of works looking over their shoulder. Hope your site goes from strength to strength, and I wish you all the best in all you do

This is one of the best sites I have ever visited. The layout is superb, the graphics are excellent and the contents are concise and cover everything anybody would ever want to know about paving. Everything works as it should - the site is a pleasure to use.
Well done!

Your excellent web page allowed me to learn a bit more about paving, and teach some of the local workers the right way to do things. It is so frustrating to have the knowledge to do something, yet lack the resources to transfer that knowledge to people who need to learn how to build something that is durable.
I worked extensively in the area of street/highway repair as an engineer - and it was good to read your emphasis on the importance of base and subbase.
One suggestion, a little more on how to lay out the wood forms in the beginning would be helpful - especially some pictures showing form work in progress.
Great service to all of the world - wish more experts would contribute some time for knowledge transfer.

Whilst we are trying to educate and disseminate on environmentally sound solutions to everything to do with construction (including landscape) we still need valuable sites like this one to educate on the basics of conventional stuff too.
Congratualations on an excellent resource, we will find a way to link our website to yours.
And I will refer to it in my seminars and workshops.
Regards

Tony,
I've been to this site many times before, and it just gets better and better. As a CAD technician, this site has helped me out a lot on typical drainage details and design particularly.
Never thought I'd find anything on site levelling here though, but Google churned it out. your a God-send. keep up the good work!!
God Bless
