Wonderful site! Prevented from earning for the last 3 years by a court case, I have used a seemingly impossibly small income and donations to get something useful done. Have used information here to build 3x retaining walls (4m., 6m.and 7m.), to lay a concrete foundation (6m. x 3m.)and am now going on to build a paved area (6.5m x 4m.). Many thanks and much appreciation!

Just googled to see if I am supposed to be scraping the moss from the patio as I wondered if it may be doing a good job suppressing teh bigger weeds. Came to this site. Saw it was a .com and hoped it wasn't american. My question was answered when I came by "eejit" and all the humour and down to earth straight talking that followed. What a little treasure trove! So naturally clicked to see WHO this is and saw the picture of you with your Dad, assumed it was Dad that had been writing until I read on and was so sad to learn of your Dad's passing. What you wrote on the obituary page is beautiful. He sounds like a great man. You are very lucky to have known and had a Father like this. Not many people can say such words about their Dads with such sincerity. Thanks to both of you for passing on the knowledge! :)

I just wanted a big thank you for producing one of the best websites (on any subject) on the internet. It is so informative and helpful. I have successfully laid a patio and (just completed) a gravel drive. I won't suggest that they are perfect but I am pretty proud of them. I could not have done either without this website. Thanks again.

I'm not after anything. I just wanted to say your site is ....'... marvellous'. Like a good book... I can't put it down. Just read about membranes and black limestone paving. Love the straight talking which echoes my sentiments exactly. After the LOLs you give me, you also answer every question and query before I've thought of it. I'm confident I can get on with the raised patio now. Many Thanks.
My clients love this site it is a very important tool just wish it was used when teaching the new people into the industry we need a Paving expert School the skill set is disappearing thank you again Tony. James Ruddick

I am about to install two sidewalks using brick pavers at my home. I have reviewed dozens upon dozens of online sites and watched YouTube videos to assist me in the excavating, design and installation. Your website is by far the most helpful of any I have seen. Thank you so much for your friendly and easy to understand approach. I have bookmarked your page to share with friends.

Just about to begin re-mortaring the joins on the crazy paving and I found your site backed with easy to follow instructions and tips. Thanks so much for taking the time to put all the information down in the public domain so novices have at least a chance!. Cheers. Stuart

Thank You! I've put the 'instant patio cleaner' back in the shed and followed your advice of a stiff broom brush and soapy water on the driveway. I'll try the bleach tomorrow on the mossy and algaed front patio. I only googled to avoid a DIY 'cock up' but this site is a real gem so felt duty bound to make a modest donation for the honest and catch free professional advice - if only there were more sites like this! The dry humour has made me chuckle - I suspect you may have missed your vocation in light entertainment!
