What a fantastic site! Clear, easy to follow tips and instructions direct from the "butcher", not his apron! Links just where you need them making navigation very swift, a permanent reference on my PC while making-over the garden. Great Job! Well Done!

Super site. Wish I'd found it last year when, as a hopeless DIY rookie, I took all summer to lay a 30 metre patio. Some of the huge mistakes I made would have been avoided. This year's project should be smoother - I've already picked up some good tips from the site and added it to my favourites for future reference.

Tony, Stumbled on your site while looking up A142 mesh for my conservatory base and was captivated for hours. So many resonances - I'm originally from the Fylde and in my youth worked as part of the family nursery business - my skills restricted to digging holes for trees. A perfect site - informs, educates and most of all, entertains! Best Wishes, Jerry Ashton

Reflective of true craftsmanship, this site should be recommended for an award for its par excellence, intuitiveness and succinct explanations in comprehensible language. Full credit must also be awarded to IT for their part which is no less par excellence in setting up the site which oozes administrative and technical skill.

Hi Tony I layed my large horseshoe shaped blocked paved drive using only the advice on this site. The drive was layed over 3 years ago, so I think it's time to let you know how I got on. I layed the drive with my Dad who sadly died suddenly last year. It was the last big project I'd worked with him on as he's a farmer and I work in an office, so we don't work together much! We followed all your instructions, the type and size of foundations, the type of base etc. The drive is still spot on, it has one little puddle on it sometimes, but it had that from the start anyway. It hasn't moved or settled at all. Thanks again. -rob
A great site for ease of use and information. I have used the site several times to check on definitions and specs.
