It's amazing how a little learning on a subject can change the project thats ahead of you. Even more in our case it impresses and maintains the attention of your builder/contractor when you learn just a little of the lingo/jargon. Most important of all, your wife gets just what she expected!!. - All because I followed your excellant clutter free website to guide us through the whats possible or not practical in our garden & access 'rebuild'. Thank you.

Hi Tony, Having just spent the last hour or two (lost track of the time)immersed in your excellent website, I felt a strong need to compliment you on what is really a very comprehensive text book waiting to be published. I graduated last year with a Civil Engineering degree, and with a view towards designing a driveway for my own house I checked out a few websites and came across your's. Reading it was a very humbling experience for a young lad who thinks he knows it all! I really can't praise your website highly enough so I hope a simple 'thank you' will suffice.

Your site is by far the best resource on the web for paving and drive ways. I converted my front garden to a block paved drive and found your general advice really usually. But your detailed step by step guidance was invaluable, I just couldn't have done it with you. I'm about to start putting a land drain under a poorly drained patio and needless to say the first place I looked was your site, and as expected I've got everything I need to get on with the job. Thank you for going to the trouble to put such useful material on the web.

Thank you so much for providing this wonderful site. Not only has it been a much needed and used resource for my H.N.C. in Landscape Design but I'm sure it helps combat the cowboy trade by educating all that enter the web-site. On the behalf of 'Landscaping' Students everywhere THANK YOU!

What an excellent website! Incredibly helpful and useful. Congratulations to all involved (FYI I was looking for advice on construction of a driveway)
What a difference it is to find a company website without mountains of marketing-speak or gratuitous graphics, just good, solid information! Well, the front path is laid! Thanks indeed to you for all the info. One small observation - for tiny jobs, let the calculators for ballast, sub base and bedding sand calculate to the nearest 1/4 tonne or 200kg. It'd have been useful.

Hi Tony, to use the familiar, I have been 'listening' to you for some time and I can say, by listening I have saved alot of time and money. Indirectley you have supplied high quality materials to produce a superb result (or so the lady indoors says!). Printed instructions to the builder, easy and accurate.

Brilliant website, great to read something by people who know their stuff and speak in the same language. I consider myself to be a skilled tradesman with 10 years experience but I always say you can never stop learning and you can certainly learn a lot from your website.

Excellent site with good practical information. Great to see high quality information being made available without the usual "send us an email for further information" or "register for further information" instructions. Keep up the good work and good luck.

I was only laying twenty or so small paving stones in my back garden and for some reason I stopped and looked for some advice on the internet. If only I'd looked first! I now have to change the sand, take up the polythene etc., etc. Thank you for providing so much expert info.
Hi Tony, Have spend the last hour on your wonderful site and just want to compliment you on it. The information provided is invaluable. You really should consider putting this in a questions and answer format for a book. Am I the first Irish person to email you. Hope I'm the first of many. We are about to employ someone to extend our patio and have sourced a local supplier for Indian Sandstone. Any idea how much it cost to have someone install this. We would supply the materials? Best wishes and kindest regards,
