Wow, so much information, just wish I had found this site prior to sealing my new patio. Now I've got to be patient whilst the horrible sealant wears off thanks to mother nature.

Excellent site buddy really good advice thank you for keeping it going
I am SO impressed with this site and have shared it amongst colleagues AND customers. It's informative and funny. Is there anything you don't know the answer to? Has proved invaluable with those more uncommon problems and less frequently asked questions and I have learned so much. Keep up the good work and thank you.

This is surely one of the most informative and instructive websites on the internet. I'm a DIY'er and have spent many hours on here already. The clear, common sense explanations of the engineering reasoning behind decisions are great. Thanks a lot.

This site is spot on! We've recently moved in to a newly built house and I'm tackling the landscaping myself. This site is informative, easy to read and follow and is making my tasks so much easier. This site is a definite "go to" from now on. Cheers and keep up the excellent job.

Thank you for your fantastic information regarding black limestone-I used the Romex after they had been acid washed by a well meaning eejit...brilliant result. Not only back to black but sealant stops them getting so hot....BIG THANK YOU
Love this site. Really good advice. All-in-all its quality. However, one small omission that I noted was that as far I can see there is no information about % compaction of sub-bases. e.g. If I spread 100mm of Type I and whack it the prescribed number of times with a standard plate, what % of compaction would I expect to get? i.e. Does 100mm become 80mm after compaction?

What a fantastic site, so detailed and thorough, I loved the stain test. I've found your site so helpful and reassuring. I now have a good idea of what to do and what to expect, I could have just stabbed in the dark and made a huge mistake. Thank you so much

I never take time to bother filling these comment sections out but in this situation I feel obliged to say thank you to the people or person that has put this site together. Building my patio was much more involved and challenging than I would have ever imagined. Without this site, it simply would have been even more of a gigantic PIA. So huge thank you for helping budget oriented, people who like to do the work themselves like me.

Hello Tony, Thoroughly enjoyed reading your informative and very helpful guidance for 'maintenance of pavements'. Your eloquent detail in 'laymen's terms' not only covered every topic...but ensured an impressive abdominal workout! Many thanks for your knowledge and inspiration!

Excellent presentation for DIYers. Well-explained procedures with definitions of trade terminology. Useful reference guides for mix ratios. Had a good laugh about protecting freshly laid work from pets and curious onlookers. Well done!
