Thanks for a truly informative, clear and well thought-out website. If only all sites could hold this wealth of useful information. In one sitting I feel I've gone from a know-nothing paving numptie to a know-quite-a-lot paving numptie. Fingers crossed for a satisfactory result in a couple of weeks time.

Thank you for an immensely valuable educational resource.
Well presented, understandable, and copiously packed with in-depth knowledge from the perspective of an esteemed artisan. One who not only knows his stuff down to a T, but who actually cares enough about his craft to share his wealth of knowledge to enrich the rest of us.
You're a fine man McCormack!

I installed an extension to my driveway last year using the info on your website. I could not have made as good a job without this site. The driveway still stands todate unmoved by the traffic. A big thank you for the advise and information given here.

Hi,
I am employed as a building surveyor and found your site extremly well informed and useful. I would like to make a general comment regarding the use of a dpm over the sub-base prior to the pouring of the slab. I have found that in certain situations, water the slab can remain damp as the water on the surface will not simply sink into the sub-base. Consequently, the damp concrete can cause moss to grow on its surface so it may be better to use a geotextile membrane rather then a traditional dpm.

I was googling, looking to replace two significantly corroded inspection covers, and I ended up spending quite too much time on this informative and engaging site! I'm not sure if I ought to be thanking you! This site is a gem. It's what the rest of the internet should be like.

What a great web site and reference source. I am about to lay some flags as a base for a greenhouse, and in your pages I have found all of the mistakes I am on the way to making, and some great information guidance and suggestions as to how I might get my project done with a professional finish

I stumbled accross this site looking for a word to describe one of the tools you use and have stayed here much too long....
A brilliant site - informative, funny and impressive - and well ilustrated. It's great to find a site with things explained in plain English so that the average person can understand them.
Keep up the great work.
A.

I complain often about so many useless websites on the internet.
It is a very rare pleasure to to see and use such a good website as this, a prime example that all others should follow.
Well done and thanks.

Greetings,
A friend of my wife have loaned us a jet wash to clean our patio at back of our house. I found your literature on how to use jet wash to make this type of cleaning very useful indeed. I am writing this text to pass on my sincere thanks to whoever wrote the article I have read. May god bless all who contributed towards this article, this has made my life wee easier.
Kind regards,
Surjit Singh
