This is a really informative & useful site. To the "layman" like myself who like to research a job before it is started the information that is found found here is incredibly detailed and at the end of the day a great help. I only wish there was a similar site for plumbing, electrics, boiler repairs etc etc etc

I'm in the final few weeks of a degree in Garden Design and I just wanted to say the information on your website has been invaluable to me. For my final exhibition I have to be able to specify exactly what I want and how it's built, including drainage, maintenance and cost. I've found most of the info I need on your website and I've recommended it to all my fellow students. Thank you.

thanks for the info about SUDS and attenuation cells, i am in construction and had never heard of SUDS until today, but i feel well informed now. i am now convinced this is what we need for our small car park (8 spaces) when the water company are insisting on a petrol collector-what overkill. i just need to get them to agree now!!

As a professional tradesman I can acknowledge when I see an expert outfit and the company and website that you have developed, I believe to be just that! Your website has been both imformative and easy to navigate around, some great info and superb tips! Brilliant- Well Done! I only wish my own website was nearly as good as yours!!!
At last!!!! a site that puts a great deal of specialist knowledge into the hands of the general public. Having worked in the industry for many years as both a Civil and Structural Materials Engineer and as a Lead Assessor with UKAS (formally NAMAS)it's certainly about time somebody removed the mystique from, what is in essence really rather simple problems and opened them up for anyone. This should certainly help to limit the "cowboys" out there. Congratulations, if you need any specialist help just give me a call. Pat. p.s I've got lots of lovely stories from the industry dating right back to my days as Technical Manager in both the UK and overseas. Must think about a book one day!

This is the best and useful information I have read so far on the internet. I am a woman who can't afford to pay constructors, I will deifnately follow this to do my footpath and paving. Thank you, i have been looking for this information for a long time.

A very refreshing site. Honest and informative with humour.
I am in France and have constructed a concrete base for laying tiles in my house. Your site has been a great help and the information contained is "awesome". I will be a regular visitor as I have several congstruction projects to complete here in France.
