Excellent website. Before reading I didn't even know what a soakaway was. Now I feel confident enough to approach my issue head on, and can always refer back to your website for further info when needed. Top work!

I've been learning about hard landscaping for a garden design course, and was tearing my hair out til I found your site. Thank-you for making it SO clear, and so friendly, and for clearing up at least some of the contradictions in the inadequate notes provided by my college!
I'm much indebted to you.

Superbly constructed & informative web site. Discovered by completely by chance as I embark upon the garden make over. As I intend to engage a contractor to carry out the works I now know where to look for help & guidance with materials & job specs.

I found your site by accident and got hooked! I have been messing around with tippers and building sites and cranky builders for nearly 30 years. I do enjoy the craic, but have become dismayed by the current levels of PC induced crap! Your enthusiasm has brightened my day. May every good fortune find you!

A brilliant website. I trawlled the internet for days looking for guidance on ground drainage & found this site invaluable. I shall be constructing a septic tank drainage field entirely based on information gleened from this site.
Many thanks,

This site is without a doubt the best resource (online or print) I have come across for construction. I am astounded it is free and that is a credit to the owner for his generosity.
Many thanks,
Eddie.

Just finished the patio at my house and both my wife and I are pleased with it.
It is the first time I have attempted this and I got all the information from this site.
Thanks for your help

What a brilliant site! As a woman i am always having the micky taken (to be polite) with men who think i know nothing!
I always try to find out the correct information on the right way to do a job before i take on new work.
I am just about to do a patio for myself and was trying to find out the calculation for a sub base for patio slabs.
The 'Ground Force' site said 50mm!! but i am much happier with your 75m.m of sharp sand on top of the hardcore.
Thankyou so much.I will recommend you to everyone.

Just to express my gratitude to your excellent web site, which I have consulted many times over the last month in researching methods of paving.
It has given me the confidence to go ahead and carry out the transformation of my tired old front lawn into a luxurious parking facility!
Thanks again, Jon
