I am studying environmental health at university and needed info on drainge for an assignment. Your site was the only one on the whole net that made drainge understanable to novices.
Thanks

Very useful site, top of the search engine reply in Google and deservedly so - brilliant presentation of factual information and opinion. Will be coming back here for advice as my project goes on.

Excellent web-site and this has, as engineer, given me an in-sight into the application of textile materials in road construction.
The site can be improved by adding more information on ""Railway Track"" construction.

This is the absolutley best Web site of it's kind on the WWW! The "Mother Country" (to the USA) has done it again! Congratulations!
Now if only this collection of rebel colonies had the resource of Pavingexpert we might get our paving done right! I've been trying for weeks to find a local or even regional resource to solve a draining problem and install (or help me install) two drives which will keep the "natural look" of my wooded lot with lots of towering oak trees. I have a "log cabin" which I built myself on the lot so I'm not afraid of building.. but I am not a grader or paver.. and neither are most of the companies I've contacted.. They just want to grade it quickly, and call for the concrete trucks..never mind base prep or drainage..just get your $$$ and run!
Congratualtions again to "Pavingexpert" on a great Web resource. Do you know of a smiliar resource on this side of the Atlantic? I have submitted my contact information to you for the CD. I plan to give it to whoever will install my driveways..your way! Any reply or advice from you appreciated and ...

This web site is awsome! I have so many construction projects on the go and this site provides all the answers...........no more embarrasing questions at the local trade counter.
I'm not sure why you do it but it's ... brilliant.
Many thanks

Extremely helpful for a complete beginner - I'm doing up a Victorian terrace and have a very small 5x5m plot at the back which I wanted to put in a small patio area in the shape of a quarter circle. I shall be coming back to double check on everything!

Like many others who've left messages here I'm not much given to leaving messages in guestbooks, but I have to say a BIG thank you to you folks - this is a superb resource, very well presented, and once I found you I got the info I needed immediately. Great information, superb design, and very well implemented. 11/10. If TheWebReview was still running, you'd be my top suggestion for them. Thank you VERY much.

I found your site brilliant, especially the DIY projects people had undertaken. As I was particularly looking for the cost of concrete block paving for a driveway I would have liked to have seen what the cost was for these projects.
