What a great and informative site for the pro as well as the novice. I was into the site a bit before I noticed the english was English. I learned a lot and you all are on my favorites. Thank you, Scott

I have laid block paving on a domestic scale in the past and read around the subject extensively at the time, however I have never found such a comprehensively brilliant site as this ! Your advice is absolutely spot on - I'm off to do some more now !
About to make a patio for the first time. Thanks to the information on your excellent web site, I feel a lot more confident about it. Thanks Tony, all the best.

What a great site! I have bought a run down riding school nr Canterbury Kent which has to be knocked down and started again, including a new house stables barns and lots of parking! I have been studying your site for the last few months and know it will be a great help when we start in June. Thanks again for doing such a great job.

Just a word of thanks for this utterly brilliant site. Informative, authoritative and amusing. It is a model for how such a resource should work. I am just a DIY'er on a very small scale, but your advice has helped me to be successful so far, and encourages me to move on to larger projects.

I'm studying my third year of an HND Garden design course and I'm so grateful I found this site early on. The Hard landscape module of the course in particular would be almost impossible without this website. It has been an encyclopedic source of information. Information that everywhere else they seem so reluctant to impart. Written in plain English with every possible eventuality considered. Not to forget the very high standard of workmanship, that is always recommended. With any luck this site has helped to train at least this gardener to design gardens that can realistically be built. I recommend this site to all my fellow students and reference it often in my assignments. Thanks

What a fantastic site, so tremendously informative. I'm sure you're sick of compliments (?!) but your site is well laid out, easy to navigate and the diagrams and explanations are so clear. It has been an invaluable aid for my studies and have put on my favorites for future practical reference too. Thank you.

Thank you for your well developed site. You have unraveled a mystery for this weekend gardener: "Construction lines, Perpendiculars and Arcs" and "Working Lines and Levels"... I will be using the knowledge you shared for landscaping part of my back yard. Through your very generously shared knowledge, my projects will turn out much better. Thank you AJ McCormack and Son, thank you very much!

Hi there, I was trying to find out if I could get away with laying a very small, secondary, patio with slabs during weather with borderline frost. (I hate to admit it but the shape and small size will force me to use the 5 dob method....'ant heaven'! :) ) which you strongly recommend against carrying out. Anyway, I was very impressed indeed with the warmth, friendliness and information available on the site. I think the layout and design of the site is superb and when I saw the dot com, I assumed that it was an American site. I'm proud when I see that someone from this part of the world takes them on....the site would be hard to beat, in all honesty. I thought your tribute to your father was very touching and you both seem to have 'good and decent' genes. Great to know that there are some still around! I hope that this stands you in good stead and that your life reciprocates with a fair share of luck! best regards Frank

I have just found your web site and I am exceedingly grateful that I have. You have answered every question on paving that has kept me awake at night trying to figure out as a I plan the ground works around my new house.
Have visited many web sites that offered hope and only gave advertisments (I hate Google).
A great web site and project.

I am nearing the end of my Civil Engineering course and Coventry Technical College and have just had to complete an enormous assignment to be sent to the BTec Inspectors - can I just let you know how exceptionally useful this site is. I know myself and some of my fellow students have spent hours on end reading through the clear and concise information on offer - thank you so much for making a difficult task a little easier for me - regards Rebecca
