Been surfing the web for six years now and can honestly say your site is THE BEST I have come across. Loads of useful information, clearly laid out and indexed. Looking to have some paving, steps etc. renewed in our garden prior to installation of a hot tub and this is a great resource to enable us to discuss plans from a knowledgeable base. Worthy of any awards that are being dished out - take a bow!

Thank You for an excellent site. The details and advice were just what was needed to remind an ex-Sapper what it was all about, now that I am converting a spare front room to a garage to overcome Blackpool's parking problems. I can proceed with much greater confidence

I would like to thankyou for the most fantastic site I have ever visited, truely wonderful. It would have been so easy to keep this information to yourself, but by sharing it in such an imaginative way, many of us can benefit for all those years of experience; improving the built environment and our detailing for the benefit of all our clients. Thanks

Great site Cormaic, it has given me plenty of ideas and tips. Thanks for it.
This site is what the internet should be all about ! , I have never come across a site like it ,it ACTUALLY gives the info you want! no detours, no pop ups, no endless sifting to get where you want,it can only be the creation of a man who got his hands dirty , a practical man , and the web masters done a good job too {for nerds that is }, excellent all round !.
Fabulous resources contained on the site. I have included a link from our web pages to encourage students to use these resources in the course of the studies. I compliment you on the use of graphics and explantions to technical problems and tasks in construction. Highly recommended site - good work.
I'm in the middle of a complete garden pave/shed build: what a brilliant site! Thanks a million.

Am just designing a small gravel/stone and plants back garden (which gets no sun), and your site was brilliant. I feel quite confident to do the job myself now - thank you.

All I can Say is ' I wish I had visited this web site before my drive was done ' A lot would not have gone wrong, however, its not too late to attempt to correct it myself, with the help of your notes of course. Many thanks.

I'm not usually driven to comment on a website (except for the usual poor ones)but your site is an eye-opener and an example to all site creators. I never knew I was so interested in your subject (this is the effect it has had) and I can't wait to get started on a project (ANY PROJECT)! If I can find a way of promoting or recommending your site for an award I WILL. Congratulations Alan J. Morgan
