Whilst looking for concrete kerbs/upstands/surrounds for drainage gullies, I stumbled into this site. It is brilliant and full of good sharp end information that us surveyors know nothing about, tee hee! But seriously, I could not believe the amount of good information that normally you have to buy the book to get. Well done you boys(shame about the World Cup though!).

We've had over 2 straight weeks of rain and my poorly drained backyard flooded into my swimming pool making a huge dirty mess. We're installing a drain field this weekend and your site provided great detailed info. Thanks.

Brilliant site. It looks like a labour of love, but its very much a real working tool too.
If i ever were to look for a website designer I would head hear (and no, I have no relationship whatsoever with cormaic!)
AND it contained the information I was looking for, succinctly, clearly, and well signposted. Congratulations.

This is, in my opinion, an extremely well organized and informative site. Certainly that is the case for information about segmented pavement construction, but more generally among construction technology presentations.

Fantastic site. Good information, great layout. As a Maintenance Surveyor for a Housing Association I found it good for reminding myself of design elements and considerations.
Well done - not just for DIY'ers !

What a site for sore eyes! I was only looking for sources of paving blocks, but I found much, much more here. Even apparently small things are explained, such as the difference between clay pavers and brick pavers, along with the implications.
Also, very good use of clear, simple diagrams where relevant.
A superb site!

After reading no end of books all giving sparse & conflicting advice i would like to thank you for giving me the confidence to have a go at laying a patio.
If i get in a mess & need to call in specialist help at least i will know what they should be doing thus avoiding cowboys!
