As a casual visitor from a spurious self-enquiry into beeding mixes for pathways, I was amazed and utterly impressed with the level of detail and clarity provided by your web pages! Well done and thanks for the 10:1 aggregate/cement tip :)

I would like to add my praise to the many glowing reports this website regularly receives. Quite simply, it's the most informative website on the whole internet for paving, drainage and other related topics. The amount of genuinely helpful information and advice is astonishing. From simple jobs to more complex projects, this website contains more relevant information and good practise guidance than a truckload of books and manuals. Thank you for providing this vast wealth of accumulated knowledge for free.

Very informative website in crystal clear English. Some great tips and tools and the paving layout design service is definitely something that looks invaluable to the DIYer giving patio laying a go!

Thank you so much for a brilliant and so informative website that shares your obvious vast knowledge. After cementing black limestone onto the concrete patio at my home, I was pulling my hair out until I found your piece on 'efflorescence' which described exactly what was happening here and why. I feel so much better now I understand what is going on and what I can do about it. Thanks again & Kind Regards. Graham
I work for Promain Paints and have received an inquiry form a person in Devon who has inquired on one of our products the Guard Wet Look for his Indian Flagstones, he commented on how informative your web site was and endorsed this product, Thank You Mark

This is a really good website where free advice stays free and gives you the whole answer to your question not 50% and then pay a fee for the bit you really need. Most of all this guy knows his stuff because he has done it in the real world. not read a book and then thinks he has hands on experience.10 out of 10 top Marks

Thank you so much for sharing your expertise here, I have single handedly laid a 25m2 patio using so much of your advice, without this website I know I wouldn't have had the confidence and would have made many more mistakes. Thank you.
Great site. I have found out more here than all the data sheets and documentation supplied by manufacturers can provide. Often expert tradesmen can be preachy and a bit jeering towards people who know less than them, but I never get that here. Thanks for a real resource. JJ

In a seemingly futile search to buy squared genuine Yorkstone slabs I found your site. All credit to you for putting in layman's terms such detailed and valid information to advise the unwary like me. It is much appreciated.

I came here to find out the correct mix to lay paving slabs. As well as finding what I wanted, the friendly, informal tone makes for hilarious reading.
Thank you very much for the excellent advice you have given me, it's been years since I re grouted any flagstones and wanted to know if there was any more techy way of doing it now. your advice and video I'm sure will save me hours of work, so thank you very much, I'm very grateful Sir best wishes Norman :-)
