Brilliant site. Need to surface a path around my garden for walking/lawn tractor use. Your explanations of the different types of gravels are really useful and I shall be exploring self-binding gravels from local suppliers next week. Thanks for the info. Bob Gledhill
Thanks for producing such an informative site. I have worked on site on highways projects before but it is always good for me to check my knowledge in certain areas before any specifications are made. The simple details you offer are easy to read and to put into practice.

Hi Tony, Why can't all sites be like yours? informative honest and amusing. I was looking for info on drives as we are buying a house that requires a lot of work. The first job will be to create off street parking with new front wall and gates etc. Sorry to hear that you are no longer in the business. If you were I would be banging your door down with a cheque in my hand. Anyway back to work I still need to find sites that deal with, kitchens, extensions, boilers, alarms, garages etc. Unfortunately I won't find any as goos as yours. Keep up the good work Tony and I wish you all the best for 2006. Tim

What a great site. So Informative, especially for the do-it-yourselfers like me! My project is a small one, but, I have spent ages on your site and have learned a lot more than I will likely ever need to know about patios. Thanks for your efforts to create a site that really offers so much ! Cheers from Canada.

Some of the only info on cobblestones I have found on the web. Thank you for contrasting them to setts, always confused here in the US. No one here knows much about cobblestone, except near the shore. We read an English lady's book on pebble mosaics and then I made an entire cobblestone driveway because the area of New England I live in has them laying about on the dirt roads. We since sold that house and I was sorry I couldn't take it with me, but know the next owner will treasure it (or tar it ova!) Sorry to read about your and loss, but happy to be benefiting because you made something very good out of it. I think you have done your trade an inestimable service in making this knowledge available-- thank you!
Terrific Web Site - Very imformative and considerate for end users and professionals. Great to share this type of information. Thanks
