Like the others have been saying, very good site. Pictures and diagrams make all the difference from other sites and books where they think you can picture in your mind the same as they do

The information on Land & Garden drainage provided excellent reference material for me to deal with a builder who carried out ineffective drainage in my water logged garden.
I wish I had seen it before I agreed with the builder to do the work.

Just noticed the guest book and wanted to say thankyou for the site which made it possible for me to tackle laying my blocks and flags and end up with a result I was happy with! The effort and commitment in maintaining this site is really appreciated.

Excellent web site. The knowledge gained from this site enabled me to question the ability of potential contractors without feeling 'stupid' and to weed out the cowboys - about 75% of the people that came to quote. In the end I undertook the work myself - slow maybe, but satisfying.

Many many thanx for your excellent site. The calculators are an invaluable tool. I have recommended it to many clients who want to tackle small jobs of their own. The advice is clear and easily followed - if there are some sort of awards for web site design, then you should definitely receive some sort of recognition. I'll vote for ya's!!!

A fantastic information source. Clearly written easy to follow/ navigate,
lots of useful tips hints and advice. I can think of many national/ multi
national websites (large and small businesses) that don't come
anywhere near the quality of this one.
I've just completed a 74 square meter patio in stone flags (with no
previous experience) using the information from this site. I don't think
I would have considered taking taking it on if I hadn't found your site.
I'd advise any DIY'er considering this type of work to look for The
Pavingexpert on the web.

Just wanted to say that this is one of the most useful and well put together sites that I've found on the internet for a very long time! It's rare these days to find a genuinly altruistic information source, especially not one which is so complete and authoritative.
I've just spent the weekend laying a 40 sqr meter herringbone brick patio for my parents, something that would have be a lot harder without the advice on this site. Thanks very much and keep up the good work mesers Mc Cormack.
