fitting replacement ductile iron frame, it overhangs chamber by approx 5 mm on inner edge on each long side but well onto brick top and bottom - is this acceptable - height is good

thank you - will shift top course over 15 mm then fit frame when cured - is there anything special to bear in mind when doing this

How deep is the bed goig to be? If it's to deep you'll need to regulate the brickwork, aim for 10/15ml. Id' use building sand and cement 3/1 mix. Bed it on straight away and tap down to height.

thank you - have now regulated brickwork and bed is 15mm - in for a cuppa - will use mix you suggest with a dollop of SBR
