not having a pop pablo but is the turf itself in the top 2 pictures a little bit ropey?
I know SFA about turfing and when i asked the guy for tips he said "green side up" but it doesnt look as verdant as the later pics?

it goes like that when its been left rolled up too long and it "cooks"
sometimes it comes back, but not often :(

Yeah it was 26 deg that day couldn't have picked a worse day for it most of what you're seeing is sand but I've been back several times since and it's taking well so should be fine the second garden may need a small area thats been underwatered by the client replaced but thats not a biggy.

i once went out on hire to drive a JCB (been driving them since i was about 10) but when i got there it was a CASE.....it was like putting the wife in a JCB.............made me look a rite cnut :D

I like knowing how to drive the sae pattern over the now more common ISO pattern good skill to have, but I'd like a brand new one with joysticks. Leaning forward all day is a pita.

In the states CAT have one system and John Deere/Volvo/etc have the standard controls

Dont use a roll of turf after its 6 days old. Its 50/50 at that point. That said ive laid 11 day old turf and it took very well

on my first ever go the other week i went to ivinghoe turf and had to wait while they cut a pallet full
it had taken well within 10 days and was 4 inches high
i know sod all about landscaping but have seen lads lay brown turf which has died rapid and then they blame the housekeeper :(
as a material its cheap as chips so very cost effective to do right
