Nice work Dempsey. That look's very nice mate.

I just finished a patio today in teakwood sandstone. I used weather point on it and it looks ok. I think a proper sand cement mix would look better on what your doing though.

Nice one Dempsy and Tony. It's the first time I'd ever used the stuff and TBH it's a nice stone to work with. As Tony said, it is quite soft (I could have cut it with a handsaw but opted for a 4" grinder instead lol) but I only had 2 break on me from 70m2.
Not a bad price at £25 per m2 either.

The clients really happy with it but I think I've still got a little way to go before I start producing natural stone work to the standard of some of the stuff I see on these pages.

I know the thermalite block hand saw has wider cutting teeth but i wonder if that gives a neat cut? i'll take mine to work and try it on some soft stone.

Cheers Tony.

That stone was only 20mm thick Sean so I used a 4" grinder with a very narrow cutting disc.
The funny thing was I, was using my workmate and g clamps for cutting so with the stuff looking like planks of timber and even the dust coming off it looking like saw dust it felt pretty much like I was working with timber lol.

The picture was just a joke for my facebook page.
