Hi All,
Just wanted to worn everyone about a Pattern Imprinted Concrete/Paving and Construction company in Bristol whose Director is Dan Gregory Cambridge. The company name is Advanced Driveway Solutions Ltd - Company Number 5028992.

He attempted to lay a Pattern Imprinted Concrete Patio last year for me, but it held more water than the Grand Union Canal, and was as level as the himalayas.

I took this company to court on 9th Jun 2005, and won my case, and am presently trying to recoup my costs. The court ordered the directors to pay me £2255, by the 8th July. I have not received the money I am owed, and I have since found out they have filed for dissolution of the company, and therefore on these grounds I have objected to this going ahead.

Dan Cambridge of Advanced Driveway Solutions Ltd applied (652a) to strike off the company on 6th September 2004. This occurred less than a month after ADS Ltd was engaged in construction work at the rear of my house. Dan Cambridge has committed an office in submitting this form, as he cannot submit the form unless he has a three-month trade free window. I am expecting the crown to take action against him.
Also I have learned Dan Cambridge is in the process of setting up another company called Advance Driveway Solutions UK Limited – Company Number: 5380568. I am strongly objecting to this being granted, as he has not paid myself the creditor what I am owed. He is only trying to dissolve A.D.S. Ltd to avoid having to pay myself the creditor. He should not be allowed to shutdown this company and start up another one using almost exactly the same name, without paying me what the court has ordered him to pay. Dan Cambridge should never be allowed to become a director of a company ever again.

I have contacted trading standards, but as per usual, they can't intervene. So I am now taking Dan to court again, by filing a N316A which means he has to disclose all his financial information to the court, else face arrest.

Why is it that the law is so antequated in trying to resolve issues like this, these people should never be able to get away with it. I am also contacting watchdog, xray and the ferret to see if somebody wants to take up my case and hound this guy into paying up. I'm fed up af builders taking people for a ride.

If anybody has any other advice as to what I can do, it would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Stephen.

You might want to consider contacting the companies that supply materials to this character.
