Someone has asked me to quote to lay 70m2 Raj Blend in a random pattern.

How long would you say to lay for two guys (one mixing and one laying)

Any ideas would be helpful.

Simple square, no cuts or drains etc, two days for experienced guys not including pointing. Three days if lots of fiddly bits

is this including pointing using the old school method?

Thanks for replying

2 days dan?
i have loads of work for you :;):
i reckon to lay average 15-18 m2 per day
we have had good days of 40m2 but then you get a shite day of 10m2 due to cuts or whatever
thats 3 of us
for 70 m2 just laying i would say 4 days 3 men
and 1 good day to point
overall total cost around £7-8k labour and material
LLL :)

With flags all stacked close by and ready mixed mortar I have laid 20m in a day on my own so i would be between the 2 but closer to luton.

A 2 man team mixing on site should be able to lay 25m per day

pointing that with mortar would also take the guts of a day for 2 men

This.

And it's a random pattern which is always a pain in the ass.

I will make us millionaires Dan :;):
we all know the craic, good days and bad days

I wouldnt want to price a job on the assumption that we could lay 35M2 a day

pure labour I charge £20 per metre lay and cut and this nearly always achieves what we want to earn

obviously access is one of the biggest issues

cheers LLL

I once spoke to a director of a pretty large scale landscape company, about 30+ guys, and they expect their skilled blokes to lay 10m2 per day, that's with a labourer. I reckon myself and the guys to do about the same as LLL, we also have good days and awkward pain in the arse days.
