I need to secure a bollard and repair the damaged tarmac surrounding it - about a 6 inch circle surrounding the base of the bollard. I've heard you can patch repair small areas of tarmac. How would the bollard have been secured - postfix? Does anyone have any suggestions, please? I can email a photo of it if that helps.

It all depends on the type of bollard. Most are sunk into the ground and fastened in with concrete, much like a fence post.
