A stone wall needs to be taken down and rebuilt. How do i work out how much mortar i need to rebuild? Its 17m long and 0.9m high and 0.35 - 0.45 wide! Does anyone have any idea what i should charge to rebuild and how long it will take!!

I would think about £3300 and up plus vat to take down and rebuild (6 days for 2 men + aggregates+plant). Not sure exactly how much mortar required without seeing the existing wall.

Mortar quantity depends on type of stonework. Random rubble requires far more mortar than dressed stone. Any photos, Dan?
