I want to build a pond 5ft/4ft roughly or mabye 4ft/3ft any ideas of a plan i can follow and any tips, i want it simple and pavers round the edge. not sure if fish will be added or not and no idea about pumps filters etc.
any advice would be great. I dont want a plastic pond i will put a liner in.

Sorry, but ponds aren't my area of expertise. There are lots of websites specialising in pond construction and maintenance - try searching Google.

For the novice pond builder Wicks do a good "how to" brochure ;) On the purchase of the liner etc i`d recommend Bradshaws, they have a good range of pond related products (it`s their speciality).

I`ve built a few ponds in the last 14 years from small 3ft kidney shaped ones to 15ft square x 5ft deep half raised & half sunk ones.
The best tip I could give you is to decide before you start what the pond is to be used for, fish / plants / ornamental or a combination of these and don`t rush the planning, as these all have different requirements.
