What ratio of mix - Laying flgs

What ratio of sharp sand to cement should I use to lay paving flags?
One of the calculators says I should use 53kg cement, 190kg sand and 285kg gravel for the area I want to cover: 5 mtrs squared.
I have a base of broken/smashed concrete about 80mm below my finished level. My plan was to use sharp/grit sand on top of the concrete rubble? and then lay the flags on that.
The flags are only for light foot traffic at the front of the house.

10:1 - 500kg (half tone) of grit sand to 2 bags of cement. You can go stronger if you want, and use 3 bags of cement, but there's no real advantage in so doing.

This is roughly the same ratio as given in the calculators, although there's no need to be as precise as 53kg - using the example you cited, that would be done as 50kg cement, 200kg of sand and 300kg of gravel.
