Diy back garden this summer after advice

Hi all im new 1st time here.

I like to DIY my old tired back garden that still have the old council like dull concrete slabs laid down like over 25 years ago as seen in the link below:

Before I start I like to know:

Is it possible to level a sloping garden?

Covering the joints with mortar will stop weeds growing in them?

Do concrete slabs come in different colours or is it just patio slabs and shall I assume concrete slabs are cheaper overall per m2 than patio slabs?

From my understanding there's 2 types of slabs and they are concrete slabs and patio slabs so which is suitable for a back garden like mine?

Why is it on pavingexpert site that the construction diagrams for both types of these slabs are totally different? Which construction diagram is easier to do?

I like to get the whole back garden covered in Slabs instead of block paving as block paving is more expensive.

When I say whole I mean right up to the total 4 sides that is 1 brick wall and 3 wooden fences as seen in the link above. The brick wall is obviously level and straight however my neighbourly wooden fences are not level and straight so my back garden is not like a perfect square or rectangle shape more like a rhombus or trapezoid shape you know what I mean. Plus my neighbourly back garden is different height to mine meaning you can see a slight part of my neighbour slabs underneath the fence.

Which pattern of laying slabs is recommended for my back garden shape?

If I decide to take the slabs right up to the fences and brick wall then do I require some sort of edging to separate the slabs from those 4 sides or what do I use instead for a neat and tidy finish for the sides or what do I use for a neat and tidy perimeter outline of the slabs?

If edging is required then what edging is recommended for wooden fences that are not level/straight and what edging is recommended for brick walls?

Also what edging is required around wooden gate posts/fences for a neat finish or is it just doing cutouts on the slabs to make it fit these and filling gaps with mortar?

Not only are all of the questions in the rather extensive list above answered in considerable detail, far more than I'm willing to re-tyope here, it would give you the opportunity to clarify what you *think* you have read.
