I want to lay sandstone slabs on top of existing concrete slabs. Is this advisable - I've heard there can be drainage issues - and should the existing concrete slabs be scarified for better adhesion of the mortar? It's a small area - 7ft x 8ft - and I thought I would just use a builders sand-cement mortar. Will this work???
Thanks.
Chris

Ah! I've just found the relevant page on the site that deals pretty much with this issue, although any helpful suggestions still gatefully received!

....and did you also find the bit about NOT using builders' sand with cement to make the bedding mortar?
