I Have had a quote 0f Â£12500.00 for approx 1000sq metres of HRA to be done at my home. (250m x 4 m wide average of 60mm deep with 80mm where it will be liable to more wear. 75 lin m of it will be new top coat of 40mm over existing asphalt.) Does this sound reasonable? The contractor who is the cheapest is my local council! Thoughts please.

sounds alright to me,what do you reckon dave?
make sure they put a tack coat between old and new layers

Sounds fair to me, and at least with the council, you know they won't hitch up their caravans and disappear overnight!
