I'm a DIY-er on a budget and don't have access to all singing dust suppression equipment. I will shortly be embarking on laying Indian sandstone slabs, and many of these will require cutting. I will be using a large Makita angle grinder with a diamond blade for the job.
As part of my preparation before laying the slabs, I had to cut an edging kerb (about 80mm thick) and decided that I would direct a hose at the point I was cutting. As soon as I started, the water just simply sprayed up in my face and I couldn't see a thing. Not an ideal situation for making accurate cuts or for my safety.
So, what method could I use to suppress as much dust as possible without having to spend hundreds of pounds on 'professional' equipment?
