hi all

I have a john deere roberine triple mower, which has developed a fault. You crank it, and it fires but stops, then you keep kranking the engine, and it splutters then dies, then try again and it eventually fires.
.once its been runnning, you can start it straight away .Leave it for 15mins, and its back to the start again
I assume an air lock somewhere?
i did notice the leak off pipe to the tank was perished at the tank end, but assumed that this was not the cause as it lets air in from the tank?

anyone have any ideas?

Almost certainly an air leak on the fuel delivery side - leak-off not so crucial but I'd address it nonetheless.
