Drying block paving - Flame torch to dry paving

Hi
I've laid 100m2 of clay pavers with concrete paver edges. It's been nearly a month and the clay pavers are not drying out enough to sand joint and it doesn't look like they'll dry out anytime soon so I was thinking of using a roofers torch to dry them off. Has anyone had any experience of doing this? Will the torch alter the colour of the paving? They are red brindle.

There is no water supply so I can't try the washing in method

Just brush in what sand you can and leave some surplus on top. Every few days, have another sweep around and, bit-by-bit, the joints will become properly filled.

Putting a hot flame to the pavers is wasteful and not guaranteed to work. there's also a risk, depending on the exact type of pavers used, that they could "blow" - small shards of the paver explode from the surface due to highly localised thermal expansion.

Little and often is far better than hot and dangerous!
