Hi. I'm looking at costs between the different approaches of obtaining an area to walk on.
If the approach were to be laying down concrete and letting it dry, what is the minimum depth you can get away with?
I think the answer is 100mm.
Doing a calculation on some prices, I'm getting a cost of about £17.16 per square meter at a depth of 100mm (for cement, sand and aggregate) Of course, that would half if I could get away with 50mm depth, but I don't think that is at all recommended.
Certain concrete flags I can get from Ebay work out at £19.44 per square meter.
This is not taking into consideration of costs for things below the concrete layer, flags or otherwise.
