Hi, A couple of queries:

1. Anyone know where I can obtain a couple of square meters (40 or so) of these? (I live on the Wirral)
2. What is the best "thing" to use to ensure an even and regular 12mm gap between the pavers, when laying them on a full mortar bed?

Many thanks.

I used a "tuck pointer" when I did setts in my garden and it worked well.

Amazon or EBay will likely have plenty for under a fiver.

They come in a range of sizes. I would suggest buying a 12mm to get your regular joint widths and also getting one slightly smaller so you can pack in as much pointing mix as possible.

Thanks for the useful info re. "tuck pointer".
I was actually meaning what method/type of spacing/spacer is best to ensure an even ("the boss" illustrates 12mm wide on the "Southport pavers page") joint between the pavers.
Cheers.

Sorry but did you mean using the "tuck pointer" itself to "space" the pavers ?

Yes, you would use the tuck pointer as a spacing guide to give you consistent joint widths one block at a time.

I'm no expert but it worked for me, and, if I was to lay setts again that's how I would do it.

String lines can help too. If you try compare it to a brick wall thats been laid on the ground the joints running horizontally can be laid to string line and joints running vertically individually spaced with tuck pointer

Just to say I have managed to obtain the required pavers from a woman in Southport via her advert on Gumtree.
There are about a 100 left if anyone is interested - search "corporation purple flags" to find the advert.
Cheers.
