I didn't realise the amount of 'green' implications involved. A couple of examples.....
More excavation=more landfill.
Less use of recycle materials=more digging of 'natural' materials
well presented tony,the implications of the proposed legislation are far reaching, and its the paperwork and time wasting created which is even more alarming.soon we,ll not be allowed to tie our own shoelaces:(
general builder, maintenance engineer, gas and plumbing installations, extensions etc
as newton's 3rd law states "every action has an equal and opposite reaction"
so no matter what you do there will be some effect or impact elsewhere
however as john correctly states,if it is your house flooding,then landfill or quarrying is not your greatest concern

The latest I've heard is an invitation to participate in a research project prompted by concerns raised in the DEFRA proposals. As ever, I'll keep you all informed of any significant developments.
