Kota blue cracking

had a problem with kota blue recently, it started to delamenate, peel almost. i have read about this some where, but i cant remember. anyone got any ideas?

I have never heard of kota blue de-laminating to any serious extent. you may get the odd piece flaking away but nothing that will be detrimental to the long term strength of the stone.

kota blue is an extremely dense stone. We have had some on our display for a couple of years and it hasn't shown any signs of delamination at all. Also I cant recall any customers phoning up with this complaint. Maybe you could post some photos

There are a few Irish paving suppliers that call various colours of sandstone Kota Blue/grey /green etc but most pavers know Kota to be only Limestone which is where the confusion may be coming from here. I've never seen limestone lose anything more than a small flake but sandstone is very prone to it.
