Lost count of how many belle's we've had 240 v, 110v, petrol, got a couple of the big belle 1000x with the electric start yanmar engine rocksolid. All really good with the stands etc, snapped a few drive shafts and gear boxes but there easy to fix.

Got a few of the blue electric barrow mix ones as well, cheaper and not as sturdy as the belles but good enough.

Are you going to be mainly working at ppl houses with power and access to it then go the 110v route. If you are going to be doing new build etc then fuel type mixers are essential.

Shame it's 240v, too risky for professional use. Otherwise I'd probably have it!!!!

are belle minipacs any good ?

seeing as no one else is replying to you today I will give you my unbiased opinion

the belle vibrating plates are the biggest lump of rubbish you could ever wish to spend your money on, I hired one last year with the intension of buying one, I phoned the hire company after 10 minutes and asked them to come and pick it up

I have owned a MBW vibrating plate for 15 years and purchased the GP 2000 a couple of months ago which is an absolutely fantastic machine

I need to make sure that the MOT type one sub base on the driveways we construct is as compacted as is humanly possible and I would not feel confident using a belle vibrating plate no matter what size or weight the model is

BUT that said if all your aiming on compacting is a patio sub base prior to laying flags then it would be ideal for you but sadly it's not an item I would consider purchasing

I have this same problem with me mowers the better the mower the higher the weight an as i work on my own ive got to be able to lift it ok . is there a wacker that one man can lift that you would recomend ?

What one man can lift varies though and hse wouldn't have you lift more then 25kg, I can lift our bomag onto the back of my truck. It's not easy and couldn't get it on the 7.5 toner on my own.

We used to have a belle minipac, great for detail work around fragile stuff or around man hole rings in tight holes, but a but of a toy can pick it up one handed. No good for patios unless you layered your subbase in 30 mm layers haha
