At that rate would it not take all year to pump out?

We are 10 miles from the floods, so fortunately not directly affected by the floodwater but have endured many flooded roads locally when trying to get around. Has also totally wrecked our works programme but that's the least of peoples worries in Somerset at the moment.

I'm in not so sunny Staines, luckily the flood waters stopped about 20 meters from our front door, still to close for comfort.
Still sandbagged in not taking any chances yet...

They've had to down the pumps as the outfall from them was causing too much erosion! Extending the outfalls today.

Yes know what you mean LLL, the stormy weather is good for business here, the amount of driveways, roads etc etc that have washed away is big......lots of drainage going in these days so I'm happy.

Went up to the pumping site today, took some food up for the lads, they sure need it.

The erosion that is happening at the outfall is huge! The pipes have been extended and shipping containers (cut to size) have been craned in and are awaiting 100 cube of concrete tomorrow. I can't see pumping restarting by Tuesday at the earliest.
