After many years with my company today is my last day. Redundant because lack of work? No! Redundant because ( amongst other reasons I can't say just yet until I get legal advice. ) my refusal to be transfered with yet another pay cut, which would of been my fourth. I was reminded that " you do realise we can get two for the price of one now." Lads getting transfered from here are general ops on already low wages and put to work doing deep drainage. Won't be long before the accident rate on this and other companies goes through the roof.......watch this space.

sorry to hear that sean
the big companies are wrong they way they treat loyal men
all i keep hearing is people crying out for trades now,so when the boom comes full circle i hope they get shafted and have to pay top dollar
good luck

What gets right up my nose is someone will get a bonus for supposedly 'saving' the company money.
On the strength of that the same person is taken on by a company so that he can do the same.
Then the companies run into trouble and have to bring in other people who have to spend money to put things right.
When these people have supposedly put things 'right' they take their bonus and move onto another company.
The cycle then starts all over again.

Hope all goes well Sean

Same here; I need some dependant people, not youngsters who think they know it all and turn up late........enough of that for one day.

There's always work out there for good men. Just decide who you want to work for and go and knock on doors
