Help! sealant on sandstone stained and peeled - Acrylic polymer made for freeze_thaw

Ok get it now about 10 inches of soft sand over the whole patio correct?
These areas of sand will have to come out and be re-sanded as it won't cure properly now.

Re the Xylene you would use this to release any moisture on an Acrylic sealer that has re-acted to moisture and caused the white staining, but from the photos posted some of the sealer looks broken and flaking in place so the Xylene treatment won't really work as the sealer doesn't look in-tact to start with, which is why I said you would be better off stripping/removing the sealer failed or not to the whole patio and unfortunately start again when the weather and conditions are right for sealing.

The Xylene would work on this if the sealer was in-tact and only had trapped moisture, not to nice to work with, highly flammable, fumes can get to you if using for a long time.

Seeing as the paving now has broken and/or flaking sealer on it then if you want it looking how it should have looked in the first place, which I guess you thought you were going to be getting, then remove the sealer and failed sand areas, re clean (alkaline based cleaner only) allow to dry out completely naturally, re-sand the joins and re-seal.

Some asked about the origin of the sandstone we used. It is local to Utah. The ‘Pink Oak’ we used (that had less absorption). The description states it is a ‘hard’ rock. The Pink Oak (Rosa) is from Arizona.

Not a big fan but done right it's good .paving is installed well ps I charge more for this work it takes longer

Shame they went for a surface sealer, and not impregnator seeing as it is a natural stone.
From the photos looks like about 33-40% failed, so I stick by my answers, strip the sealer off and start again.
