Could anyone recommend a book which can assist in the writing of specifications for hard landscaping.

Doesnt have to be hard landscaping based but something that will assist in the production and wording of specs.

For commercial work, we tend to use the NBS - National Building Specs, which is a format of words into which you insert the name of the particular product to be used. So, for example, if you were laying 150x50 EF Edging kerbs, you'd use the standard paragraph of text bathering on about bedding and backing, and then inseret summat like "Kerbs manufactured by Borlochs Hall Concrete Ltd - Warrington - 01234 56789"

You should be able to get 'free' clauses for the most common items from the various manufacturers. Some even provide them as downloadle files or on cd. If you're determined to spend money, try the BRE Bookshop
