I'm breaking out low down in a trench with a kango through a 400mm wall mines hurting at mo, physio says mines due to misaligned hip from years playing prop in rugby and carrying too much weight.

Pay the money go see physio or chiropractor don't mess when it comes to your back

Also know lads that rely on diazepam to work not good

Keep moving and dont worry about it. Also get a decent matress. I used to have a terrible back. I'd been seeing all these Chirporacters who kept drilling it into me that my back was cussed. Eventually I wento to the NHS and they told me there was nothing seriously wrong and to do a few stretches and get on with things. To hear that was a massive relief and my back has got better and better ever since that. The matress also helped, it wasnt cheap but what price do you put on your back. I went to dream and got a matress tailored to fit my back. It was £1200 but worth every penny

I found chiropractors ok to fix an accute problem but they will tell you too come back every week and this just made me worse. Best thing I ever did was quit the chiropractors

Pay 250 quid for a private Orthopaedic consultation and 150 for an MRI then you'll know exactly what's going on in your spine! I would recommend it as every other f00ker will be guessing!

And another thing, if you have a weak core that won't help, so making your core stronger is a must! some athletes have amazing bodies but have poor core strength and they too get problems!

I had a fall when I was doing my back garden I even cried in pain,

After many pills and trips to the physio I finally got to see a physio at my local hospital.

Best thing I do is this

Wake up in the morning
Stand by the bed and step/walk on the spot for 30 seconds
Then stand up straight feet together hands on hips and lean to the left and then to the right... Not to much don't force yourself... Do this about 5 to 10 times a side...

Sounds like crap I know but it worked for me, don't get me wrong your never cure a bad back but you will learn to live with it.... :D

I put my back out asleep.... go figure.

Fine when I went to sleep, couldn't walk properly when I managed to get out of bed the next morning.

Sciatica was diagnosed, due to pain and struggles to straighten my leg to about calf level, Had no relief.

Went to see a private physio, £55 for consultation, and if he couldn't treat it there and then, He'd do the rest of sessions for free.

After 30 seconds of examination, he found a slipped disc that was trapping the sciatic nerve, pushed it in, and showed me a few excercises, had to go back for it again. Went on a date and bent down to tie my shoe, and couldn't get back up.

Get backache every now and then, but hot bath at the end of the day keeps it bearable

Try one of those big,big exercise balls, Im told they do wonders if you lie on it and stretch out your lumbar supports.

Could be bad posture. I have anterior pelvic tilt, been focusing a lot more on my posture because of it and it seems to be helping.

Take up pilates.

I'm 6'5 which doesn;t help when it comes to back trouble and have had it on and off. I catagorically refuse to lay 2x2's now as they have been responsible for a few bouts.

Seriously though yoga or pilates will improve your core strength and posture so much. Also helps your surfing...

On a side note, Anti-inflammatory's such as voltoral or ibuprofen will F up your insides if taken for prolonged periods.

I did take Trama dol at some point and was asleep for 24 hrs! I was off my face!

If you have a lot of back pain you need to see a specialist and have an MRI.
