I call it bro/father in law syndrome ( anything that can go wrong will go wrong ) Need to fill side of front door then plaster a rip up the inside wall. Wife got foam gun, plaster etc: off bro-in-law. He explained to my wife how to use it, which she in turn related it all to me. ''I know darling, i use one every day at work.'' Although i have my own i had to use his but it would'nt work. My wife assured me he had shown her the night before and it was 'working'. Any way i decided to use my own and in the process of taking his can off to put on mine, the nozzle decided to clear itself and ( you've guessed already ) i had forgotten to lock it. aaaarrrrggggghhhhh!!! Fecking thing, it sprayed (god did it spray ). Me panicking as i turned around looking for a bag to put it in . Too late the ceiling, walls, kitchen cupboards, wifes showpiece roman numeral clock,. silver coloured fridge/freezer, plants, fruit, the list is endless Then she came, running down the stairs, me trying to hide, her screaming, '' I fecking told you so, i told you how to use it, my brother showed me.'' Me red faced, no defence, window licking it. Only way i could think of was to use my gun and say: see darling, mine works, must of been your brothers gun and out of date can of foam. that tactic did'nt work. My penence, new paint work, new clock, maybe new fridge, naughty step etc: Moral of the story, if your wife tells you her brother/father do it one way, then you had better do it that way, because, they are bloody right :;): :laugh: :p

Oops sorry to hear that your mrs must have informed you wrong, she will write the instructions down next time!

Did you have a can of cleaner as well as a quick spray from that will dissolve it but its nasty stuff the cleaner, has tony says its horrible stuff once set I find only pumice stone or working it off shifts it from your hands, tried the cleaner and tried using petrol to dissolve it of a trowel once no joy.

Got it all off, just needs spot painting here and there. Just doing the plastering now....WHILST THE WIFE IS OUT SHOPPING !!! :;):
