What a week my timing belt snapped on my van and the silo has been down for 3 days so had to mix the dust out of it in a mixer and the boys let me down on monday not happy! And the client wanted to make a few changes after the setts were in..
But I have some more work lined up and its Friday

That's one of the benefits of owning a Nissan. They use chains not belts, so they fail once in able moon.

my mechanic reported only the other day, how a lot of timing chains are starting to fail, honda diesel's at 100k, BMW's and others. much prefer a safe engine, but they are few and far between.dig dug dan wrote:That's one of the benefits of owning a Nissan. I much prefer a suspender belt, but I see less of them nowdays.

It's recommended you replace the chains, but not as often as a belt.
