I took my 3yr old granddaughter to the big switch-on of the Chrimbo lights in Leigh last night. She was very happy, as were the owners of various stalls and fairground rides that helped lighten my wallet by at least 20 quid in less than 15 minutes!

You are right Haggi and i dont usually complain about the rain as it brings in the work for us guys !.

Had a bad few days with man flue, not the soft southern kind but the real northern stuff that would floor a bull elephant.

Anyway i am on the mend now and going to test out the old taste buds, see if they react to the litre of wine i am about to pour down my neck

The severe rainfall we've experienced down here over the last few days is playing havoc with my work schedule but it is good for surfacing enquiries, they're coming thick and fast now.
