iphones and a days graft always ends in tears at some point regardless of the cover. I'll never get one but an ipad is on it's way soon i couldn't be arsed with all the apps that'll make no difference to my life but it'll be handy for showing clients my portfolio and emails and diary. Diary is probably the most important it's a pain every new year having to carry the new one and last years for contact details pricing and notes. Would be great to have several years info at your fingertips.
Can't see it from my house

My ipad never leaves my side,
i use the calender for booking work and my lads work, he then gets notification that he is working here or there and when.
I use invoice2go to invoice clients with an email address (everyone) also use it to estimate work and send quotes. Its really simple.
Use notes for totting up wages owed and materials needed or tools for following day.
Email is set up so it beeps when a client mails me for a quote, dont miss out work when the next man gets in touch first.
Use maps for finding jobs if damn garmin runs out of battery, also good for finding local merchants etc.
Calc is handy as its huge

pablo i resisted an iphone for ages thinking it would be no good
how wrong i was, toughest phone i had, just got a new 4s after 2.5 years of the 4
my old one had been submerged twice, once in the bath and once in the loo
better than buttons that used to get full of dust and stop working
my ipad is always in my car, great for email plans etc
